Key Responsibilities
- 1. Lead and manage the end-to-end banknotes operations, including sourcing, logistics, vault management, and distribution across branches.
- 2. Develop and implement strategies for efficient currency stock management, ensuring adequate availability while minimizing holding costs and risks.
- 3. Establish and maintain relationships with correspondent banks, central banks, and currency suppliers.
- 4. Monitor foreign exchange trends and demand patterns to forecast currency requirements accurately.
- 5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, AML, and internal audit requirements related to cash and banknotes handling.
- 6. Oversee vault operations, ensuring adherence to security standards and operational procedures.
- 7. Manage import/export of foreign currencies in line with regulatory guidelines and documentation requirements.
- 8. Optimize costs related to banknotes procurement, logistics, insurance, and storage.
- 9. Coordinate with branch operations to ensure timely supply and redistribution of currencies.
- 10. Develop contingency plans for currency shortages or market disruptions.
- 11. Lead, mentor, and develop the banknotes team to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
- 12. Prepare and present reports on currency positions, profitability, and operational performance to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in banking, exchange houses, or treasury operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- 3. Proven experience in managing banknotes or cash operations at scale.
- 4. Familiarity with international banking relationships and currency markets.
